Our solution is shipped from Sydney and manufactured in Australia. There is no chance of you turning orange!

What to expect on the day of your appointment

Relax as our professional spray tan technician sets up a portable tanning booth in a matter of seconds. We will guide you through your spray tan, demonstrating a few easy stances for you to do in order for the technician to give you a perfect all over body tan.

The tan application time is approximately 5 minutes. After your tan has been it is dryed for a further 5 minutes. The tanning technician will offer you the option of using the dryer while they fold away the tanning booth (most clients prefer to dry themselves as they can feel what areas to focus on).

You are able to shower 2 hours after your appointment. Some clients prefer to wait longer as the tan can continue to develop and have a darker end result.

While you shower, it will appear as though your tan has all washed off. This is completely normal. You must allow 6-8 hours for the tan to properly develop on your skin after you have showered.

Gold Coast Spray Tans is the most exclusive tanning service on the Gold Coast and understandably we get quite busy. It is advised that you give at least 3 days notice in order to secure an appointment.

After making your appointment it is advised you write down your appointment date and time. If you book more than 5 days in advance we will call or SMS to confirm your appointment the day before.

After you’ve made your appointment with Gold Coast Spray Tans, mark the date and time into your calendar. You should also mark the day before because this is the best time to do any waxing/shaving.

On the day of your appointment make sure you have showered and thoroughly exfoliated. Take extra care to exfoliate around your elbows and knees. This is going to help ensure that you get the most even result. It is also extremely important that you do not have any product on your skin. This includes makeup, deodorant, body lotion, moisturiser, acne cream etc. Your skin must be completely clean. If you are very self conscious without makeup then we can spray over the top. There is no guarantee that the tan will be able to absorb through your makeup but some brands do allow the tan to develop on your skin.

On the day of your appointment one of our friendly female tanning specialist will arrive at your house at the specified time. You can choose where you would like to be tanned. Any tiled or wooden floor will be fine, you don’t have to worry about cleaning up a mess afterwards! Gold Coast Spray Tans uses pop up portable tanning tents that are easy to put up and take down.

We have only female tanning specialists to ensure you feel comfortable at all times.
You may wear whatever you feel comfortable with during your spray tan. It is most common for women to wear only underwear bottoms.

When you have your first shower after your tan you will notice the colour washing down the drain. Don’t be alarmed, this is perfectly normal. The colour you see washing down the drain is just the tanning agent that allows the technician to see where the colour is going. The spray tan solution is still developing on your skin even after you get out of the shower.

If you want a deeper tan you can wait longer than 2 hours before showering. 2 hours is the minimum time, some people prefer to leave the tan on overnight to get the darkest colour possible. Others choose to shower after 2 hours and have a slightly lighter tan. There isn’t a lot of variation in the colour after 2 hours and if you leave it on longer. The tan goes two shades darker if you leave it on for longer.
